Great burgers and real malts. Real nice people. Right out of the sixties

What more can you say other than it's the best in the West. Caramel Shake in a ranch hand with extra tub sauce and you can't go wrong

Been here several times over the past 5 years and every time the meal has always been consistent with the last. The beef patty’s are paper thin, the fries need salt and and the fry sauce has the consistency of water. Overall it’s okay but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get cash to frequent this establishment.

It was good. I would go back for the ranch hand. Just don't forget your cash as they don't accept cards...

Ranch hand burger is a regional classic. Unlike any burger you ever had.

The most boring, basic, and bland burgers and fries cleverly disguised as something special due to the fun old-fashioned-diner vibes. Burgers were comparable to the dollar menu at McDonald's or Burger King, and the fries were unsalted. Maybe the double decker burgers are the real hype? The house "white sauce" topping is nothing new or clever, just watered down ranch and mayo. Not sure how this has escaped natural selection. The staff are nice and friendly though!!

Great little mom & pop shop. Good burgers, awesome milkshakes with great service and more then fair pricing.

Burger West is one of a kind they never change, which is good it takes you back to the 70's. Love the Ranch Hand.

Fast cheap burgers better then mcdonalds but fries are weird....

Its one of a kind for sure but the pink sauce is so watery aaand you have to pay for extra l, 1st one free ( though the container for the first one is enough for 3 fries) the patties are frozen if I'm not mistaken.

Ate here regurlarly when I was In middle School back in 88-89. The place hasn't changed a bit today, it's still amazing!!

I havent been here in years. But I havent forgot how the Ranch Hand taste.. Oh my. They are so good. And the shoe string fries. Yummy..Great service.

Excellent place for hamburgers and the service is really good. Haven't ate their in years but it is pretty popular with the high school kids

This was my mama's favorite place to get her favorite shake. She brought me to try it (strawberry, pineapple and fresh banana) and we got fries. The shake was very good and the fries were tasty. This place is a throwback to the '50s and I hope it never closes. We NEED these landmarks.

Just the best old school burger joint around....we hit it on Saturdays( when we can, we live 40 minutes away) for breakfast. We always order 2 ranch hands, extra tubs and a scotch and soda! Great service. Honest food!

About 10 years ago this would've been one of the best burger joints in the area. Service was great, food was great, and it was quick. Today was the worst I have ever experienced being there. Everyone looked angry, food took 23 minutes where it should only take 8 minutes at most to make a burger, and everyone there worked like they didn't want a job. I would rate it a 3 out of 10. It would be lower than that if it weren't for the food. I was not impressed and probably wont go back for a long while. A crew of 5 had the work ethic of half a person.

Locals know......this is a place with an iconic taste that takes us all back to when we were kids. Ranch Hand is a go to favorite. Huge hotdogs with a mustard relish blend.....scotch and soda to wash it down. It won't be everyone's favorite place.....but for many of us it's as Ontario as onion skins on the roadways each fall, and Tiger football on Friday night.

This place is mediocre. They are very stingy as well. One time I ordered soda with no ice and they charged me more because it meant they filled cup with more soda. The place is so old and out of date, it has to be the saddest looking business in Ontario.

The best place to get a burger in town. If you're headed through Ontario it's worth a stop. Make sure you ask for extra fry sauce!

Well its a nice place to get a burger but the people who work there are sometimes hard to understand and there service is a little slow but overall it's quite nice

From out of state, and out of 4 states this place is amazing!!!! Fast, friendly, and old time feel. Just what you expect from a small town!!

Like the food. It's very popular place. Because of that it needs a longer drive thru and another order speaker. Also need parking space lines removed from drive thru so people don't park there and block it.

This is a great small little burger joint. The burgers were a great price, and very great quality. There was limited indoor seating, only 2 tables, however I liked the semi-retro look if the place.

Been around for a long time, very good with the best milk shakes in town.

It's always busy and a little ruff to get into.But well worth it. The burgers are great. They aren't pre made.

Love the ranch hand w/fries! They make many great burgers tho. And their milkshakes are always perfect! Not all runny. Must remember they Do Not take debit cards, don't let that keep you from enjoying the awesome food they serve here. Ive been eating here since the 80's always been quality meal, it'll fill you up.

Good burgers and fries (fry sauce too)! This is a popular burger joint with the locals, for many it is a tradition for people who used to live in the area to get the farm boy (one of their most popular burgers), take a picture of it, and post it on social media if passing through. They also have tasty shakes and yummy scotch and soda (butterscotch flavored soda pop). Good quick burgers at a reasonable price. If you're in the area and feel like a burger or finger steaks, swing by here and not McDonald's or booger king.

If you're looking for a nice little mom and pop shop, this is it. Love the food! Best home made milk shakes. Good prices. A little annoying that they don't accept debit/credit cards. They have some very friendly staff, however I've had a few encounters with some rude employees that just seem like they hate their job, they don't seem to last long though. Sad they aren't open on Sundays, I would come here more often if they were.

Good old fashioned hometown burger joint loved by the community. Love their scotch sodas and crushed ice!
